Why Jackson, Mississippi Was Without Water for a Month
Residents in Jackson, Mississippi, spent a month without water, unable to wash, flush or drink, after the February winter storm turned the taps dry and forced a citywide “boil water” advisory. Today, restrictions finally were lifted and most of the city’s water system has been restored. But is the crisis really over? The city's mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba joins the show to discuss.
