National Foster Care Month highlights growing need for foster families in Michigan
May is National Foster Care Month. In Michigan, approximately 10,000 children are currently in foster care and there are only about 6,000 foster parents, according to Judson Center, highlighting an ongoing need for additional foster families. “American Black Journal” host Stephen Henderson talks with Judson Center Chief Strategy Officer George Winn about the needs of foster children in Michigan.
