PBS Books is thrilled to partner with Center for Asian American Media (CAAM) to present the 2025 Detroit Festival of Books at the historic Detroit Public Library. Curtis Chin is an award-winning author, filmmaker, and activist whose debut memoir, Everything I Learned, I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant, offers a poignant and humorous look at growing up gay and Asian American in 1980s Detroit.
