Healing Beyond Medicine - Service Dogs
Darin Peets is a kindergarten teacher at Del Dayo Elementary school in Sacramento. He’s also a quadriplegic. To help Darin be more independent, he has a service dog assist him with daily physical tasks. Darin’s service dogs are from Canine Companions for Independence (CCI), a nonprofit organization raising and training assistance dogs for people living with disabilities.
