Learning to Read
Partner Reading | NPT3
Season 2022
Episode 9
For partner reading, more fluent readers can be paired with less fluent readers. The stronger reader reads a paragraph or page first, providing a model for the other. Then the less fluent reader reads the same text aloud. The stronger student provides feedback and encouragement. Two readers of equal ability can also practice partner reading by rereading after hearing the teacher read a passage.
