Santa Rosa Island: A Snapshot of Time

Santa Rosa, the second largest in the Channel Islands, is one of four northern islands once part of a large landmass known as Santarosae. But as the climate changed and sea levels rose, much of Santarosae ended up under water some 7,000 years ago.
