Santa Rosa Island: A Snapshot of Time

Santa Rosa, the second largest in the Channel Islands, is one of four northern islands once part of a large landmass known as Santarosae. But as the climate changed and sea levels rose, much of Santarosae ended up under water some 7,000 years ago. Discover how the story of the Channel Islands provides an important lesson on how climate can drastically effect a landscape and all its inhabitants.
