Comptroller Scott Stringer: COVID-19 Could Cost NYC $6B
Comptroller Scott Stringer forecasts NYC may suffer a $4.8 to $6 billion loss in tax revenue due to the coronavirus. Revising an earlier estimate, which placed the expected loss at around $3.2 billion, the comptroller said, “The COVID-19 pandemic is already putting an enormous financial strain on our city’s workers as millions of New Yorkers grapple with the uncertainty of their next paycheck..."
