Brooklyn WWII Memorial Moves Forward
Last veterans day, Metrofocus introduced you to Toba Potosky, a Brooklyn resident who has spent the last 6 years raising public interest and funds to restore a nearly forgotten treasure- a World War II memorial in his neighborhood. The Brooklyn War Memorial in Cadman Plaza Park was dedicated in 1951 as a monument to the nearly 12,000 Brooklynites who died fighting for our freedom in World War II.
