New York Areas ‘Racing To Be Prepared’ For Peak Outbreak
The first death in Suffolk county was reported March 16. Today, the total number of fatalities is 53 and the total number of cases is nearing 7,000. Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone discusses the county’s state of emergency and announces they are “racing to be prepared’ for the peak of the outbreak, anticipated in the next few weeks.
