NYC Teachers Look for Safe System as September Approaches

There have been more than 60 Department of Education staff deaths related to the coronavirus. There have been allegations that, prior to the system-wide shutdown, the health department put both educators and students at risk. So the city’s teachers union is pushing for new safety measures before schools consider reopening their doors.
