RITCHIE TORRES’ PRIMARY WIN
NYC Council Member Ritchie Torres is the winner of the Democratic Congressional primary in the 15th district after beating out 11 opponents in June’s pandemic election. The Bronx district is overwhelmingly blue so Council Member Torres will almost certainly be heading to Washington next year. If he does, he’ll become the first openly gay Afro-Latino member of Congress.
