Chris Hedges: The Costs of War
Chris Hedges of The New York Times has written a powerful new book about the costs of war to individuals and to societies. Hedges, a veteran war correspondent who covered wars in El Salvador, Nicaragua, Africa, the Middle East, and the former Yugoslavia, wants Americans to understand how self-destructive war can be.
