Reiki and the Catholic Church
In the eastern healing technique of reiki, practitioners place their hands on or above someone, in order to balance the body's energy centers, they say. Advocates, including some Catholic nuns who practice Reiki, say it promotes healing. But the U.S. Catholic bishops have said that Reiki is incompatible with Christianity.
