Election Eve Tips, Newsom on COVID, Student Attendance

On the Nov. 2 edition of the Reporter Roundup, KPCC reporters discuss last-minute election tips for people who have note voted yet, a conversation with Gov. Gavin Newsom about COVID-19 and drops in grades and attendance rates in LAUSD.

On the eve of the 2020 election, Libby Denkmann has some tips for people who have not voted yet. She breaks down recommendations for people voting in person and by mail.

Gov. Gavin Newosm says California had to step up because the federal government hasn’t. Jackie Fortier shares more of her conversation with Newsom at a new COVID-19 testing lab in Valencia. 

Student Attendance Drop
The Los Angeles Unified School District has seen a drop in attendance for high school students and lower grades for middle school students. Carla Javier discusses how the district is responding.
