Reporter Roundup: Evictions Halted, DMV Offices Closing

On March 27 edition of Reporter Roundup, KPCC reporters discuss the statewide moratorium on evictions and changes to state and local government services.

KPCC reporter Aaron Mendelson has details on this afternoon’s temporary statewide ban on evictions. The moratorium is being framed as a public health measure to minimize the spread of coronavirus among vulnerable populations.

Some city and state services like the California Department of Motor Vehicles are closing the doors to the public. KPCC reporter Ryan Fonseca has more on how transit services are being impacted.

KPCC reporter Adolfo Guzman Lopez has been looking at the effect the pandemic is having on community colleges and teaching methods.
