Reporter Roundup Special: Young Angelenos, Stress

On a special edition of the Reporter Roundup, KPCC reporters KPCC reporters gather after Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti’s townhall to dig into what is on the minds of LA’s youth, specifically mental stress, looking for work and staying social while self-isolating.

KPCC reporter Carla Javier has details on LAUSD’s programs to help with anxiety and stress among kids including a mental health hotline which offers counseling in both Spanish and English.

Reporter Jackie Fortier has advice for high schoolers who want to spend time with their friends and families while still maintaining their social distance.

KPCC’s Libby Denkmann has suggestions for students looking for a job or trying to hold on to one.

There is or will be assistance available for undocumented Angelenos through the government and community agencies and KPCC’s Mariana Dale has some specifics.
