The Kimberley: Australia’s Wild West
The Mating Ritual of Frilled Lizards
Koolamana (a frill-necked lizard) is an iconic resident of the Kimberley. When the rains begin to fall, the insects will emerge in the millions, and that will give the young ones a good start in life. This environment creates fierce competition for the male frilled lizard, as he battles other male frilled lizards, to win the heart of a lucky female dragon.
