'Kodachrome' Brings the Audience to Tears at the 2018 Spring KCET Cinema Series

Following a screening of "Kodachrome", Actor Jason Sudeikis and Producer Shawn Levy attended a Q&A hosted by Cinema Series host Pete Hammond. A father and son road-trip that follows an acclaimed photojournalist (Ed Harris) who has a terminal illness, his assertive young nurse (Elizabeth Olsen), along with his estranged self-absorbed record executive son (Jason Sudeikis). Together they hit the road from New York to Kansas on a mission to reach the only remaining photo lab in the country that processes the beloved Kodachrome film before it closes its doors permanently. Jason Sudeikis is known for his roles in "Driven," "Downsizing," "Colossal", "The Book of Love," "Tumbledown," "Race," "Sleeping with Other People," "Horrible Bosses 2," "We're All The Millers," "Angry Birds," "Epic," "The Campaign," "Mother's Day," "Hall Pass," "The Bounty Hunter, "Going the Distance," "What Happens in Vegas.'" He also made appearances in "The Ten," "Watching the Detectives," "Bill," "Semi-Pro and "The Rocker."

Sudeikis completed his eighth and final season as a cast member on NBC’s venerable show "Saturday Night Live" in 2013. He is currently executive producing the workplace buddy comedy "Detroiters"on Comedy Central with Lorne Michaels. His past television credits include multiple episodes of the HBO series 'East Bound & Down," and an arc on NBC’s Emmy® Award- winning show "30 Rock," The Cleveland Show" and "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." In March 2014, Jason presented awards for ‘Best Live Action Short’ and ‘Best Documentary Short Subject’ at the 86TH Academy Awards alongside Kate Hudson. Sudeikis also hosted the 2011 MTV Movie Awards. Shawn Levy is known for his work on the award-winning series "Stranger Things" as well as the multi-Oscar®-nominated film "Arrival." "Stranger Things"  received 18 Emmy nominations for its inaugural season, including Best Drama Series and winning the SAG Award for Best Ensemble in a Drama Series and the Producers’ Guild Norman Felton Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television.

Levy’s film credits include "The Spectacular Now," "Why Him?" "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day," "Night at the Museum," "This is Where I Leave You," "Date Night," Real Steel" and "Fist Fight." Levy also produced the ABC comedy series "Last Man Standing" and "Imaginary Mary." Levy’s early directorial success includes the hit comedy "The Pink Panther" and "Cheaper by the Dozen." Levy is additionally set to direct "Uncarted," invasion drama "The Fall," a remake of the Sci-Fi classic "Starman" for Sony and "Sesame Street" for Warner Bros. Levy is also developing over two dozen films and television series, including "And Then There Were None," based on Agatha Christie’s most successful mystery of all time.
