Wake up to BBC World News & Al Jazeera 7 Days a Week

In response to the escalating situation in Libya and other countries in the Middle East, KCET continues to offer its viewers unmatched international news. Starting Monday, March 6, KCET will air an hour of international news starting at 6:00 A.M. with BBC World News, followed by a half-hour Al Jazeera English newscast at 6:30 A.M. We believe the morning news hour will provide intelligent viewers an alternative to the tabloid-driven nonsense passing as "news" on local television stations. The morning newsblock will be seen seven days a week.An Al Jazeera English half hour newscast will also air weeknights at 11:00 P.M.Additionally, KCET continues its three hour international news lineup in the late afternoon, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.:
- 4:00-4:30 P.M. Al Jazeera English News (Live)
- 4:30-5:00 P.M. IBA News
- 5:00-5:30 P.M. BBC World News (encore of 3:00 p.m. newscast)
- 5:30-6:00 P.M. NHK Newsline
