American Experience | The Great War

Did you know Native Americans played a big role in a war effort 100 years ago? We’ve all heard stories of resilient Americans during WWII, but not so much about WWI. “The Great War” tells those stories. From what is was like to be a Latino or African American soldier, to the story of Native American “code talkers,” watch to learn more about some lesser-known figures of resilience.
The Woman in White
Monday thru Wednesday at 2 p.m. PST on KLCS
If you’ve heard of Twilight, you probably already have an idea of what Gothic fiction is, but have you ever heard of the Woman in White? It tells the story of a ghostly woman all dressed in white who has a dark secret and a young man who falls for her spell. Published in 1859, it is considered one of the first mystery novels and “sensation novels.” Watch to learn why the story captivated so many people.
