Join the Los Angeles Central Library to celebrate the publication of "Elements of Los Angeles: Earth, Water, Air, Fire" by D.J. Waldie.

Come join D.J. Waldie at Central Library's Taper Auditorium on September 14, 2025 for a presentation and reading at 2:00 PM to celebrate the publication of his wonderful new book. After the reading, please join us in the adjacent courtyard for a reception and book signing with light refreshments.

Using the four classical elements as his structure, Waldie delves into the complex essence of Los Angeles—a city of natural beauty and environmental precarity, of dreams pursued and illusions faded. In Elements of Los Angeles, Waldie has assembled a panorama of a city both tragic and intensely moving.

Parking Info: The library garage is located on the east side of Flower Street, just south of 5th Street. Flower Street is one-way, south. Parking is $1 with validation and a library card.
