Los Angeles Nomadic Division (LAND) is pleased to announce Field Set, a two-day collaborative project by artists Kelly Akashi and Phil Peters sited at Akashi’s former home and studio in Altadena, California, which was devastated by the Eaton Fire in January 2025. Comprising a new sound installation by Peters and a series of sculptural interventions by Akashi using field recordings and materials from the site, Field Set will create a poignant encounter with recent memories, demonstrating how artists, organizations, and communities can transform individual fragments into a resilient whole through collaboration.

Field Set will be presented on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24, 2026 from 2–7PM, concluding with a performance each day. Free tickets, additional event information, and arrival instructions may be found at nomadicdivision.org, and more details on performances will be announced soon.
