Inside the WNBA’s Rise to the Mainstream
The WNBA is enjoying a significant moment in its history, with record attendance and soaring franchise values. But author Tamryn Spruill argues that understanding its success means confronting the struggles that shaped its history. She joins Michel to discuss how the sport was held back by sexism, racial bias and poor working conditions, as she relates in her book, "The W: A History of the WNBA."
