Latin America Becomes a New COVID Epicenter

In Latin America, there is an alarming number of new COVID cases. Brazil reports a record 35,000 new cases in just 24 hours, even as the government insists the outbreak is under control. Peru has also turned into a hotspot despite early measures to control the virus; there’s an exodus from Lima, of those unable to pay rent or feed themselves.
