California Coastal Trail

Little Corona del Mar Beach

Season 1 Episode 9

Little Corona del Mar Beach may not be expansive, but it makes up for its size in what you can find there: a bounty of tide pools. This coastal spot (also referred to as Little Corona Beach) in the city of Newport Beach is a usual suspect on those "best of" lists for tide pooling.

Not only that, you can walk beach to beach during low tide from here. Head north less than a half mile to Corona del Mar State Beach or about one mile south to the edge of Crystal Cove State Beach (it will take another mile to reach the historic district where you can celebrate the adventure over a drink at the Beachcomber or date shake at the Shake Shack).
