Unlikely Allies Fight for Affordable Housing Solutions Along the L.A. River
Sissy Trinh of the Southeast Asian Community Alliance (SEACA) became involved in the L.A. River Master Plan after noticing river restoration was being used to market real estate in Chinatown. She found a surprising and powerful ally in Frank Gehry and his architecture firm, and, together, they fought to incorporate affordable housing solutions into the county’s master plan.
