HBO offers streaming as viewers shift to TV à la carte

With hit shows “Game of Thrones” and “True Detective,” HBO has been a big draw for traditional cable television subscribers. But now HBO is launching a standalone online streaming service, with broadcast network CBS announcing a similar plan.
