In Boston, tracking data to score government progress

Boston plans to use data and analytics to help improve operations, better measure performance and increase efficiency under a forthcoming initiative called CityScore. A single number is issued daily, measuring how the city is meeting its goals on a variety of quality-of-life metrics.
