Obama's four-point plan for action against Islamic State

President Barack Obama laid out a four-point plan for action against the Islamic State in his address to the nation. The strategy includes a “systematic campaign” of airstrikes in Syria and Iraq, an increase in support of forces on the ground in Iraq and additional military assistance to Syrian opposition, continued counterterrorism efforts and delivery of humanitarian aid to displaced civilians.
