Gen. McKenzie on U.S. policy, action in Middle East and Asia
The United States has left Afghanistan, but it is just part of the region that Marine Corps Gen. Frank McKenzie counts as his responsibility. He oversees the Middle East and Southwest Asia as the top general at U.S. Central Command. He commands troops in the region — including in Syria and Iraq. He also keeps an eye on Iran.
