Is the U.S. headed for a hiring slowdown?
The net gain of just 235,000 jobs in the U.S. last month was a huge drop from summer's gains. It could be signaling a hiring slowdown — one that's worse than had been expected. Pandemic unemployment benefits for more than 7 million people are also due to expire on Monday.
