What Trump's trial date means for the 2024 election

A federal judge set a May 2024 trial date in the classified documents case against former President Donald Trump. The judge rejected the Justice Department’s bid to go to trial in December and Trump's request for a delay until after the 2024 election. It's just one of many legal obligations Trump faces.
