Airlines scrutinized over frequent flyer program devaluation
Frequent flyer miles are one way airlines try to coax travelers to repeatedly fly with them. However, the Department of Transportation is examining whether airlines have been making promises about the value of the miles but then later tweaking the fine print and making them worth less or harder to use.
