Scientific impact of cuts to NOAA, National Weather Service

Hundreds of staff have been laid off at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. That includes employees of the National Weather Service, the agency responsible for forecasts and severe weather alerts across the country, providing crucial data for scientists and meteorologists.
