The History of Pluto
NASA's New Horizons spacecraft made a historic flyby visit to the dwarf planet Pluto. It passed within 7,750 miles of Pluto's surface, which is roughly the distance between New York and Mumbai, India. It is the first-ever space mission to explore a world so far from Earth.
