The Battle Over Casino Card Rooms in CA
Season 2024
Episode 1
Local mayors from Compton, Bell Gardens, the City of Commerce and Hawaiian Gardens are joining forces with their cities' casinos to urge legislators to vote "no" on Senate Bill 549, which would restrict privately-run cardrooms from infringing on local tribes' rights to exclusively operate Las Vegas-style gambling in Southern California. Digital Democracy Reporter Ryan Sabalow reports.
