New Detroit Declares War on Racism
The organization “New Detroit” has declared war on racism. The non-profit was created after the city’s 1967 rebellion to tackle the social and economic disparities that led to the uprising. Now, in response to Black Lives Matter protests across the country, New Detroit is leading the charge again by developing a list of actions to help end systemic racism. CEO Michael Rafferty is interviewed.
