The Design of Grand Central
Grand Central Terminal's chief architect, Whitney Warren, was a classicist and an aesthete, but was also the kind of man that had no problem pushing aside the architects originally hired to design Grand Central -- the firm Reed and Stem. Some of Reed and Stem's original design survived the process, but, in the end, it was Whitney Warren's vision that came to define Grand Central.
