Indie Lens’ award-winning documentary “Mr. Soul!” is a fascinating celebration of the black variety show “Soul!”. Initially produced for WNET, the program ran for 5 years and was broadcast by public television stations across the country. Tonight, “Mr. Soul” director, producer and writer Melissa Haizlip joins us with an inside look at this cultural treasure.
