New York's Connection To Ireland's Easter Rebellion

This year marks the centennial of the Easter Rebellion, an uprising in Dublin that led to the establishment of the Republic of Ireland, and by extension, a new Irish identity. Surprisingly, much of the philosophical and financial support for this movement originated in New York.
