Should public lands be a natural setting for extreme sports?

When an iconic geological landmark outside Moab, Utah, became the site of an extreme rope-swing, it captured the attention of the Bureau of Land Management. Officials are proposing a ban on rope sport activities at Corona Arch to evaluate the impact on the rocks and on others who might use the land.
