Reporter Roundup

Mt. Wilson | September 16

Season 1 Episode 233

On the September 16 edition of the Reporter Roundup, KPCC reporters discuss Mount Wilson’s fire threat, plus an update on the shooting of two Sheriff’s deputies and correspondent Josie Huang’s arrest.

The Mount Wilson telescopes and broadcast towers remain untouched by fire. Sharon McNary reports on how firefighters are keeping the Bobcat Fire away from critical equipment.

The KPCC/LAist newsroom has been looking closely at the video footage of the arrest of Josie Huang, a KPCC correspondent. Aaron Mendelson talks about the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s contradictory statements in response.

Huang was arrested while reporting on the shooting of two sheriff’s deputies. Frank Stoltze explores how this attack could change the relationship between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
