L.A. in Bloom

What makes Los Angeles bloom?

Director Dija Dowling documents the stories of everyday people who make L.A. a beautiful place to live.

L.A. is home to a variety of occupations. From baristas, shoe cobblers, waitresses, to record store employees, every Angeleno has a unique story to share beyond the typical 9-5 job.

By day, Minerva is a waitress at Dowling's favorite Cuban restaurant on Sunset Blvd. But by night, she's ready to slip on her dance shoes and enjoy a cold Jarritos beverage.

Or, there's Jack - a shoe cobbler who loves Lebanese food, particularly humus. He also loves listening to Celine Dion.

Los Angeles is a diverse city filled with hope. It's also a city filled marked by rows of flowers, intriguing vintage signs, front yard shrines, and street art just about anywhere you go.

What do you love most about Los Angeles?
