LASD Deputy Accused of Strangling His Wife Has Termination Reduced to Suspension, Says Inspector General's Report
The LA County Inspector General released its quarterly report today. The report investigates LA Sheriff's Department's disciplinary actions in March, April and May. The report reveals inactivated investigations involving policy violations and reduced penalties even in cases of extreme domestic violence.
In Tuesday's Board of Supervisors meeting, LA County Supervisors approved a motion to look into ways, including subpoena power, where the Inspector General can investigate secret societies within the sheriff's department.
