I WAS THERE: A Look Into the George Floyd Protests in Fairfax
Trevor Jackson is an art student at Loyola Marymount University. As part of an ongoing project documenting quarantine life in Los Angeles, Jackson attended Saturday’s march in the Fairfax District. He soon found himself in the middle of several tense situations. His photos portray the tension, anxiety and fear felt by some participants.

"I WAS THERE" is about telling a great story. This series of first-person accounts breaks current and historical events down to human scale, carefully taking the viewer behind some of Southern California’s biggest headlines.
